ABOUT

For the opening of IFA Berlin 2017, we partnered with HMD Global x Nokia, to create the Home of Nokia, in celebration of the soon to be launched flagship phone, the Nokia 8.

To make the home for Nokia in Berlin, we created unique installation spaces throughout the house - exploring the three new innovative features of the phone. Headlined by their partnership with Zeiss optics, the Nokia 8 features instant live-streaming, a Dual-Sight camera that fuses front and back images, creating a new generation of the selfie - the Bothie; and OZO Audio, allowing the recording of 3D binaural audio, through 3 microphones.

To respond to this, we created a Steaming Room, that held media briefings hosted by the HMD Global CMO, Product Marketing Manager, and by a representative of Zeiss; Adding depth to the creation of the device, and its powerful hardware.

The Bothie Room was created to play on people's love to create content; Guests stepped into a tropical plant filled, neon, photo taking paradise - exploring the full aspects of the Bothie feature, being shared directly from the nearby touch screens to their social accounts.

To create the OZO Room, we designed a dark space, for guests to tune out all other sights and sounds to enjoy 360 audio, all captured on the Nokia 8 using three internal microphones, as well as hearing sound comparisons from the content shot on other smartphones.

Throughout the launch day, press delegates were chauffeured in style from IFA, in the HMD Global x Nokia fleet of custom Audi A8; With the Home of Nokia being live for three days, we saw over 100 tech press and delegates welcomed to explore, learn more about the Nokia 8, capture moments across the whole space.
