This has been decaying quite a while on my harddrive now.
oldies but goldies.

I wanted to replicate an Effect with Maya, which I had seen was made with ICE in Softimage.
It took me about a day to figure it out. Here is a quick edit of said experiment.
Each Particles speed is connected to a color ramp, The faster, the brighter. Each collision transfers speed (i.e. light) to other particles, and creates this mesmerizing glow effect
