Meet Noatanga, a free, cloud-based platform designed to help photographers, illustrators,
and visual artists reclaim their visibility and control. Built between France and California,
Noatanga empowers creators with a sleek, customizable space to share their work, protect their images, and get discovered by those who truly appreciate their style.

“We know how hard it is to make a living from your art—especially when you don’t speak the language of tech or can’t afford an agency or a developer. Noatanga is here to break that barrier,” explains Lucie Montagnese, co-founder and Franco-American creative.

Noatanga combines secure cloud storage, elegant portfolios, and a smart image-based search engine that helps users discover art by visual style—not hashtags or follower counts. Powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the platform is designed to scale globally while keeping creators in control.

Co-founder Denis Semmau, a developer based in Southern France, adds: “We believe creativity should stay at the heart of an artist’s life—not tech stress or the pressure to chase algorithms.”

Founded in 2023, Noatanga was born in San Luis Obispo, California with support from the Cal Poly CIE Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and student engineers from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Noatanga Co-founder, Lucie Montangnese’s alma mater. When Montagnese was injured in a surfing accident she moved back home to France. There, she met her Co-founder, Denis Semmau. The two began collaborating remotely to build a tool artists can truly own and even sell their work and services on.
