ABOUT

I was told to choose a character from Howl’s Moving Castle by Studio Ghibli, and re imagine One of the character in a new world. I decided to create the Witch of The waste as a drag queen in a cabaret/moulin rouge scenario. I created the skirt from a bridesmaid gown, the shawl I crocheted from leftover yarn, the corset is a Victorian style garment made to the measurements of the model from satin stiffened coutil, the hoop cage skirt I made from ribbon and plastic covered steel boning, the gloves from an old dress, the shirt and stockings from an old legging. I also did the makeup and photography for this project.
