ABOUT
The Brief:
Commissioned by lighting consultants Light Perceptions, this project required a dual-purpose digital asset for London's historic French Catholic Church in Leicester Square. The objectives were two-fold: Effectively capture and showcase a newly designed architectural lighting scheme. Build an immersive, educational resource to make the church's historic murals, tapestries, and sculptures accessible to a global audience.
The Execution:
To balance architectural fidelity with user engagement, I captured high-resolution interior stills alongside precise 360° panoramic environments.
Bilingual UX: Designed an interactive UI in both English and French to cater to the church’s heritage and international congregation.
Interpretive Hotspots: Integrated custom navigation and informational panels detailing specific historic features, allowing users to explore the space at their own pace.
The Netflix Connection
Long after production, this virtual tour took on a unexpected corporate utility. The church was selected as a primary filming location for the Netflix political thriller series "Hostage". The comprehensive digital twin created for this project serves as a prime example of how interactive virtual tours function as high-value, remote tools for location scouts and TV production teams.
