ABOUT

For the project of Eco Christmas Bags, which are reusable and environment-friendly, I chose to go back to the Nativity, which is wonderfully humble and celebratory. I took specific characters and elements from the story, including the mother of Jesus, and illustrated a set of those. I then asked for graphic designer Kerri Roberts to vectorise the drawings into graphic tiles for the fabric design. I chose the colourway and completed the design, using yellow and red, which are appetite-inducing, warm Summer colours (South Hemisphere Christmas) which lent itself to a beach-burst Christmas.

I then drew up the patterns, sewed up the prototypes and delivered the order.

The set was also done in Navy and white in the same print.
