Nicole Ramsay Multimedia Designer

ABOUT

I worked for a year as a Graphics Designer at an IT service company known as Computacenter, as part of the industrial placement scheme at my university. My own personal aim for this year was to develop my skills in graphics design whilst supporting the marketing team at Computacenter. I started the year knowing little about any other Adobe program other than Photoshop, and ended the year preferring every other software but Photoshop. It had taught me a lot about using InDesign for various projects, even using the paging system to create variants of a template. This was used for their social media content.

As a graphics designer, I was involved with the creation of social media content, as well as whitepapers and digital signage across the company's offices. My role was very much focused on the internal aspects of the company, where the content I produced were made with employees as the primary audience. later on in the year, I was able to gain knowledge in the area of film and motion graphics as well as web design. I produced numerous content for the Bid Management team; developing single-page websites, short interviews for SharePoint pages, and motion graphics for IT conventions including Infosec London. My role had definitely developed throughout the course of the year, becoming a multimedia designer by the end of it. Below are just a few of the graphics I had produced, and you'll find some of the films and motion graphics on my project showreel. Just a note that some of the work I had produced are for internal use only and thus cannot be shown externally.
