Project Overview
I designed the Child Poverty Action Plan 2023 – 2026 for North Ayrshire Council, turning a detailed policy report into a visually engaging, accessible, and easy-to-read document. Bold illustrations, clear typography, and structured layouts guided readers through the content, making key messages and data immediately visible.
Challenge
The challenge was to create a design that simplified navigation, supported comprehension,
and remained fully accessible online. Features such as alt text for images, high-contrast colours, and readable formatting were used to ensure inclusivity for all users, while maintaining a light, approachable visual style.
Impact
The final design made the report easier to read, understand, and share. Through thoughtful design, the Action Plan became not just a policy document, but a tool for understanding, collaboration, and meaningful action against child poverty in North Ayrshire.
