To raise awareness of its Home Visits service, Specsavers decided to sponsor Neighbours - the Australian soap opera that's been loved by British audiences since the 1980s. These idents show a member of the Specsavers Home Visits team providing friendly eyecare expertise to classic Neighbours characters including Harold, Phil and Marlene. Hundreds of hours of old Neighbours episodes were trawled through to find nuggets of dialogue and performance that could be carefully edited with newly shot footage to create amusing conversations between the Specsavers employee and her Neighbours 'clients'.
