Eye Spy, You Spy began as a small but brilliant idea. Developed by a solo creative under the banner of Tiny House Productions, the concept had heart, warmth and a unique perspective for a young audience. The potential was clear. But this was their first commission in a very long time. Tiny House were working alone, with no experience in production. They knew the idea inside out but nothing beyond that.
When the BBC gave it the green light, they needed a partner. Not just to support but to carry the entire weight of production so they could stay focused on the one thing they knew best. The storytelling.
That is where Nest came in.
We were invited on board as a co-production partner and immediately took responsibility for every part of the production process. We managed the contracts. We handled the finance. We oversaw all legal, insurance and compliance. We structured the deal with the BBC and took the series through production and into post. Every moving part was managed by us so that the creative lead never had to take her eye off the idea itself.
The creative was able to build the world, shape the characters and trust that everything around was being looked after with care and experience. We created the space for them to thrive. Quietly. Without fuss. Without friction.
The process was smooth. The shoot went well. The transition into post has been seamless. The BBC have been incredibly supportive and have made it clear how pleased they were to see emerging talent from Manchester backed by the right kind of infrastructure.
Eye Spy, You Spy is now in post-production and already has the clarity and charm of a show that knows what it is. A small idea brought to life through focus, calm delivery and a partnership built on trust.
