About me
I'm Neil Menday, a gWeb/UI Designer and Illustrator based in Camden Town, London. I have 8 years experience in a design environment in-house, studios and as a freelancer. I am currently working as a Web/UI Designer in North London producing designs and front-end CSS, xHTML and Javascript for a variety of applications centered around the Law, Banking and Finance industries. I also regularly produce illustrations which you can see in my blog.
Skills
I am fully computer literate on PC and Mac platforms, I have full working knowledge of all industry standard design software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver etc) and Microsoft Office., I can produce all elements of a successful web design, including moodboards, wireframes and initial designs through to production in HTML, CSS and Javascript. I also have strong skills in the production of web applications using AJAX and I have strong illustration and visualisation skills. I work well both online and offline and have a good technical knowledge of Mac Computers.
Sector Experience
I am an experienced Web/UI designer, Print designer and Illustrator based in Camden Town currently working on a number of web based applications for major banks, law firms and government agencies throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East., My career began in 2002 after gaining a Newspaper Design & Infographics HND at Newcastle College. Since then, I have developed all types of graphic and web design for marketing, sales and design teams across a range of in-house, studio and freelance projects., I have developed a good working relationship with Allen & Overy, Gyro International, Corus, Linklaters and Proctor & Gamble as well as a variety of small businesses in the North East and London.
