ABOUT

Brief
There are probably no students that arrive at university without some level of experience with Microsoft Office, so informing them of what it specifically does for them would be pointless. University is probably the first time in their careers where they really come across the concept of their individual expression being measured against others, so gaining some advantage through how they present their thinking would benefit them enormously. Office Professional Academic 2010 is a sophisticated package that offers a lot more than the majority of out dated pirate copies of Office that would be in circulation among cash strapped students.

Solution
We devised a simple, clean and striking series of A1 sized posters to run in university libraries and halls. Each tapped into the concept that the secret of their success lies in the presentation and at the much-reduced price of £49.99 is was a small price to pay.

We crafted each poster individually, typesetting on a computer first and then cutting the letters out by hand and photographing them to get a unique shining glow to each relevant part of the poster, helping the headlines jump off the page.

The strap line “Make standing out outstanding for £49.99” worked on a functional level while reiterating the underlying message that being noticed was a key to their future success.

Results
Very cost effective use of the budget but due a ridiculously short timing plan, the necessary steps to measure its success where not possible to implement.
