This would have ben my entry into the Batsford Prize 2020 illustration award, though with the current pandemic, this was subsequently postponed. Following the 'Our Planet' theme, I explored the varieties of dangerous plants the earth hosts, taking inspiration from horror films to create monsterous versions of what already exists. The plants characteristics were amplified based on how these plants operate in the real world to keep in touch with the source material.
