Online abuse, particularly within sports, is an extremely serious issue, with 60% percent of all abuse on Twitter being aimed at footballers during a match. BT Sports created a campaign that emphasised that fact, which it ran in the weeks leading up to the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.
