"Do you know how difficult it is to kill flowers that have a 10–14-day life cycle, in time-lapse, with only three days filming time? We do.
It took our Director, DOP and a VFX unit a month to understand how to artificially accelerate flowers dying, in a way that was faithful to how they’d naturally behave in a home. The team discovered that to manipulate 5days of dying to happen on cue over only 50minutes, the flowers were dehydrated at room temperature overnight, frozen upside down for 4 hours and then put under a heater once the camera rolled."
