About me
I'm a junior tech engineer interested in building a career in full stack or frontend web development. I recently graduated from General Assembly completing the Web Development Immersive Course, where I learnt the fundamentals of JavaScript and built applications using the latest tools and technologies. In my previous experience, I managed projects where I worked closely with technical teams, and this exposed me to the world of tech which gave me a desire to learn more. I decided to make this career change after completing an online course; I found that coding allowed me to utilise my creative and logical thinking skills which is something I would like to continue exploring. Working in tech is exciting, and I've enjoyed being part of a community that invites me to be part of the industry and boost me to succeed. I recognise that technology is quickly changing and I am excited to be part of making these changes.
Having a project management background means I am equipt with core skills which cross over into being a developer. I enjoy both professions although expanding my career in development is my passion as this career path means that I continue to learn new skills using new technologies.
While managing projects, I took on agile development courses and also attended seminars on using an agile framework in the workplace, I am keen to continue using this methodology in the workplace.
I am currently practising my vanilla JavaScript by completing a 30-day Wesbos challenge and continue to build apps using the languages learnt during the course.
