ABOUT

This is a film I created during my final year term at The Bartlett School of Architecture. It uses fruit as a vehicle for demonstrating how perception is influenced by a variety of different factors, whether they be fictional, personal, historical or cultural etc. There are three fruits depicted in the film, banana, strawberry, and apple, taking the form of a tryptic. Each film has one main narrative that runs throughout but also includes a variety of smaller narratives that are explored through the visuals. The use of documentary film footage, imagery and original footage comments on the way in which image changes our perceptions of reality.

This film features footage from:

Caribbean with Simon Reeve. BBC2 England. 29 March 2015. Television
Great British Food Revival. BBC2 Scotland. 31 March 2011. Television
Mud, Sweat and Tractors: The Story of Agriculture, Fruit and Veg. BBC4. London, 18 May 2017. Television.
