Personal project of developing illustrated greetings cards/ A3 prints, note-card sets and wrapping paper for selling on my own website. Themes are familiar to all of us such as 'getting ready to go out, 'seaside' and 'British Birds' but illustrated in my own way.
I have been an illustrator for a number of years and this is my first project into the commercial world of stationery. My illustration begins with sketch then is embroidered with free machine embroidery then colour and details are enhanced and altered in Photoshop. The embroidery creates a looser line in style of drawing and for some images it was my intention to add blending of colour with stitch.
