Naomi has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator since 2004, gained through freelance and permanent roles around the UK. She now freelances full time, working from home and at design agencies across the UK.

Skills

I have over seven years commercial design experience, and have been freelance since September 2011, a decision I made following a relocation due to my husband’s work., I have worked mostly in print design, creating brochures, magazines, packaging, branding, logos, illustration, events and exhibitions. I have also been involved in website styling projects. I enjoy working through the various stages of a project such as liasing with printers, client meetings, brainstorming and final artworking., I am fully conversant with QuarkXpress, Creative suite (up to CS6), on both mac and pc platforms. Although I live in the west midlands, working in London is no problem for me, as I can easily get accommodation. I am very interested in working for design agencies, although I will also consider in-house roles. My hourly rate is £23.

Sector Experience

Over the last 5 years, I have had extensive experience working within food, financial and pet health industries. This year I had a five month contract working on POS and FSDU projects for Boots cosmetics (No7 and Soap & Glory). Although the work was mostly artworking, the experience helped me gain a very good insight into the cosmetics industry.
