ABOUT
Every year, about 8 million tons of plastic waste escapes into the oceans from coastal nations. At least 800 species worldwide are affected by marine debris, and 80 percent of that litter is plastic. There will be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050. This was a campaign to end plastic pollution and help save marine life and stop the destruction of our ecosystems. It was originally going to be a series of posters. Then I thought more about how I could make a better impact on this subject. It is about the ocean and the one-way plastic can get into the ocean is from beach goers. I chose to put the poster ideas on beach parking tickets, beach huts and flags on the beach. These are placed as a journey to the beach. You will park and get a parking ticket, then you will pass huts and then when you are on the beach you will see flags. These are repetitive so you are reminded every step of the way.
