Hello, I am delighted to attach my CV for the role of Proofreader/Quality Controller.
I have excellent attention to detail, being adept at spotting errors in copy even when under the most intense pressure. In my current role, as Editorial Manager at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, I edit and proofread a variety of analytical and factual material, from books to newsletters to blogs, and am proud of my ability to ensure that the finished product is clear, consistent and accurate. In my previous role, as Editor at Reed Business International, my work involved very close checking of global pricing reports, in which I would, among other duties, ensure that the prices in the headline tables matched those prices given throughout the body text. Accurate cross-referencing was vital, as was ensuring that the logic of the arguments presented in the text corresponded with the stated price movements.
I am conscientious and very used to working to tight production deadlines, and have been told that I am an excellent communicator. I am highly computer literate, with a detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and am adept at working on both Macs and PCs.
