In 2014 Miguel Gutierrez, founder of Nomad Barber, asked us to help develop his brand and create a range of packaging for a line of bespoke mens grooming products.
The packaging is heavily influenced by language and imagery associated with travel, aimed to conjure a sense of escapism which is integral to the Nomad Barber brand. We used a stripe motif commonly seen on travel tickets as a way to echo this as well as the traditional barbership pole. This has been further manipulated by interrupting the stripes to create a bold, ownable graphic style.
Each product and its ingredients are inspired by a location, and the colours and stripes reflect that nation’s flag.
