I have many years' experience as a garment technologist both in the retail and manufacturing sectors.
I have good organisational skills which aid in my capability to organise and manage fit sessions, turning around fit comments to the factories in timely manner. I have good time management skills which aid in my maintaining critical path deadlines, overseeing all aspects of product testing, sample submission, test reports and the progress of care-label submissions and approvals. I have good knowledge of pattern construction and manufacturing techniques.
I am experienced in conducting fit sessions in-house and at source, balancing speed and quality; making commercial decisions with confidence; owning the fitting process and inspiring trust and confidence from colleagues and suppliers.
I am able to analysing technical issues accurately, risk assessment, ensuring compliance with fibre composition labelling regulations, product safety & REACH legislation; managing relevant testing; recording & resolving non-compliance effectively and efficiently. and sending clear, concise and accurate comments to suppliers; processing samples in a timely and agile manner in line with KPIs.
I am confident in liaising with Design, Buying and suppliers to offer technical guidance on new product development with the aim of reducing costs and improving quality while contributing to initiatives to reduce customer returns: analysing data and implementing solutions. Promoting quality at all times, whilst maintaining a strong commercial attitude.
I am self-motivated and performance driven and this enables me to effectively manage my workload and be a team player. I have good IT communication skills, the ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
I hold a full UK driving license and I am able to travel.
