About me

Myriam joined the First Capital Connect (FCC) franchise in 2012 to create a new Communications department and develop the company's Olympics communications strategy, which led to the creation of FCC's first ever social media team. Previously, she led stakeholder relations at Transport for London, playing a key role in the transfer of authority to TfL for the launch of the London Overground concession. Earlier in her career, Myram built a successful track record as a consultant in the transport sector working with AECOM and Faber Maunsell.

Myriam has been in her current role since 2019 and is responsible for managing GTR's reputation with customers, political stakeholders, community groups, and the media, as well as GTR's franchise contract with the Department for Transport.

With an approach grounded in collaboration and partnerships, both within and outside the rail industry, Myriam and her team have secured strong endorsement for GTR and successfully re-positioned GTR as a leading operator. An early adopter of the Rail Social Value Tool, GTR is one of the first train operators able to demonstrate social value through job creation, and a contributor to economic growth in local communities.

Myriam has a Master's degree in Transport Engineering, Planning and Management, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Business Management, and a CIPR Diploma in Public Relations.
