Ince Blundell Hall, set within magnificent historic grounds, is a place where heritage meets heartfelt care. Continuing the compassionate mission of the Augustinian Sisters, the Hall offers dedicated respite breaks for unpaid carers, providing a serene and restorative experience in an elegant setting. With experiences ranging from guided heritage tours and health and wellness activities to fine dining and tranquil garden strolls, Ince Blundell Hall is more than a care facility—it is a sanctuary.

To reflect its profound legacy and modern offerings, Ince Blundell Hall required a website transformation. The objective was clear: to create a modern, user-friendly platform that retained the grace and dignity of its historic setting. The client sought a design that would honour the Hall’s 18th-century architecture, showcase its Roman-inspired Pantheon, and promote its mission while engaging potential donors, volunteers, and guests. It had to balance tradition with technology, inspiring visitors to connect with its values and support its mission.

Our approach to redesigning Ince Blundell Hall’s digital presence was guided by a deep respect for its cultural and architectural heritage, as well as a commitment to clarity, accessibility, and emotional resonance.

We began with a brand and content audit, examining existing material to identify opportunities for storytelling, donor engagement, and service promotion. Drawing from the Hall’s history, we wove a narrative that paid tribute to the Augustinian values of compassion and service, while modernising the language and tone for contemporary audiences.

Visually, the design was inspired by the Hall’s elegant stonework, classical proportions, and landscaped gardens. A muted, refined colour palette featuring warm creams and a royal blue evoked a sense of timelessness and comfort. Typography combined classic serif fonts with clean sans-serif accents to bridge the gap between heritage and modernity.

The website layout was crafted for intuitive user experience, with clear navigation directing users to key areas: respite services, events and tours, donation and volunteer opportunities, and the Hall’s rich historical background. We incorporated immersive imagery, including drone footage and photo galleries, to capture the beauty of the grounds and facilities. Special attention was given to the mobile experience, ensuring that visitors could explore the site effortlessly on any device.

The new website has transformed how Ince Blundell Hall communicates its identity, engages its community, and promotes its mission. With a sleek, elegant design and deeply integrated storytelling, the site now honours the past while inviting the future.
