Muhammad's work
About Muhammad
I am a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor and Social Media Manager with three years of professional experience creating engaging visual content and managing social media. My career has allowed me to develop from working in video editing and cinematic storytelling to managing social media content and, more recently, developing strong communication and customer-facing skills through my current role at Precision Organisation. I enjoy taking an idea or raw footage and turning it into professional, engaging content that has a clear purpose and connects with its audience.
I started my professional career at R/S Media, where I worked as a Senior Wedding Film Editor for six months. I edited raw wedding footage into high-quality cinematic films that captured each couple's story and special moments. The role required creativity, attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects while meeting strict deadlines. I was also trusted to train and mentor new editors, helping them understand wedding editing techniques, workflows and quality standards. This experience gave me my first opportunity to take responsibility for both my own work and supporting other members of the team.
I then joined Videogeeks, where I worked for two years as a Video Editor and Social Media Manager. This was an important stage in my development because I gained experience working with a variety of clients and producing professional content for different purposes and platforms. I edited and transformed raw footage into engaging videos while maintaining visual quality and brand consistency. Alongside editing, I managed client social media accounts, helped optimise content, maintained their online presence and worked towards increasing audience engagement. I also managed multiple projects and deadlines and trained and supervised junior editors, which strengthened my leadership, communication and organisational skills. This experience taught me that successful content is not simply about making a video look good; it is also about understanding the audience, the message and how the content will be used.
I am currently working with Precision Organisation Ltd as a Sales Ambassador, representing charities and organisations through face-to-face customer engagement. Although this is different from my previous creative roles, it has strengthened skills that are highly relevant to social media and content creation. Speaking with different people every day has improved my confidence, communication, resilience and ability to understand different audiences. Working in a target-driven environment has also taught me to stay motivated, organised and consistent, even when things do not go according to plan. I believe these skills complement my creative background because effective social media content ultimately depends on understanding people and communicating with them in the right way.
My qualifications and technical skills support my professional experience. I have trained in freelancing, video editing, animation and vlogging through , and I have practical experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. My skills include video production, videography, photography, colour grading, audio enhancement, subtitles, motion graphics and social media management. I am also currently completing a Videography and Video Editing course with Netcom Training in Birmingham to formalise and further develop my existing skills. In addition, I hold Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths.
One of the achievements I am particularly proud of is the responsibility I was given throughout my previous roles. At R/S Media, I was trusted to mentor new editors, while at Videogeeks I trained and supervised junior editors and managed multiple client projects at the same time. These experiences showed me that I can combine creativity with responsibility, work under pressure and support others while maintaining my own standards. My current role at Precision Organisation has added another important part to my development by strengthening my confidence, communication and ability to engage with people.
I am now looking for an opportunity where I can bring together my experience in video editing, social media management, communication and content creation. I want to continue developing as a creative professional while contributing ideas, technical ability and a strong work ethic to a team. I am comfortable working to deadlines, learning new tools and taking feedback, and I enjoy finding creative ways to communicate a message and engage an audience. I believe my combination of creative experience, social media knowledge, technical skills and growing customer-facing experience would allow me to make a genuine contribution while continuing to develop professionally.
