Short Story Day Africa has an annual competition that seeks innovative short fiction. The 2018 theme was 'Identity', exploring identity, especially (but not limited to) the themes of gender identity and sexuality. I contributed Per Annum to the Anthology. It is about a dystopia future in Africa where memory has been commercialized and used to suppress individualism and diversity.
