The Big Issue is a UK magazine sold by those facing homelessness as an alternative to begging. Pay It Forward has transformed the way the Big Issue is sold. By introducing mobile payments, FCB Inferno created the world’s first resellable magazine. By scanning a QR code, each buyer can sell it on, and on. All subsequent profits go back to the original vendor. To solve one of the biggest problems facing vendors - access to a bank account - FCB Inferno partnered with Monzo, who allowed the vendors to use the Monzo corporate address as their own, getting a foot in the door to financial stability.
