Give us one reason why advertising is still brilliant in 2019.

It has woken up to the power of brand experience. The focus is no longer on what brands say but what they do.

In 2019, I'll be using blockchain to…

Sound erudite in meetings while still figuring out if it will be accessible, developed and useful enough to those of us in the masses by the end of 2019.

You decide to launch a brand. What is it called and what does it do?

Dribbles & Squiggles – an in-house creative creche to encourage mums and dads to return to work without the guilt of leaving their kids. Also doubles as a test centre for every Lego, Sherbert Dib Dab and Beano brief in the land.

When was the last time you felt professionally vulnerable and why?

I recently completed a course at Harvard Business School and when your peers consist of admirals, generals, CIA, Pentagon officials, the commander of the International Space Station, ambassadors and an ex-White House treasury secretary it helps keep you humble, quiet and focused.

Who is your favourite Instagrammer and why?

What's not to love about The Rock? Seems like a guy whose heart might be as big as his muscles.

You win the lottery. What would you do first?

See if the win is beer money, mortgage money or beach money. If it is the last then I would be hiring a boat for a year with family and friends and heading off to the best dive sites in the world.

Name one thing you think is criminally overrated by industry, society or culture and explain why.

Beards. You can be a great creative without one.

Name one thing you think is criminally underrated by industry, society or culture and explain why.

The NHS. Never enough resources but performs miracles on a daily basis.

What is your go-to boxset binge?

Should be something cool and current but alas it would be Alan Partridge. A classic.

Enough's enough: it's time the next Doctor Who was…

Daniel Craig. He'll have a licence to travel and time on his hands once he hangs up his double 0. "The name's Who, Doctor Who" rolls off the tongue nicely.

If you weren't you, who in the industry would you like to be? I

n the creative industry - Bob Iger. Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar all under one roof. That's a hell of a creative train set to play with.
