This is a drinks and main menu concept for a fictional restaurant called The Hanger inside Birmingham Airport, and was designed as part of my HND qualification. I decided to go with a golden age of flight feel and drew my inspiration from 1920’s - 50’s travel posters and WWII era propaganda posters.
The main menu has elements from several different travel posters for each section, and a WWII feel for the grill section. I wanted to produce a nostalgic feel that would amuse customers and play into the aesthetic of the restaurant as well as make them excited for their flight.
For the drinks menu I went with a full WWII feel, each section is headed by a pin-up illustration taken from famous WWII bomber nose art.
