The BTS2 was built around a single biological principle: the human body co-evolved with the full solar spectrum, and modern indoor life has eliminated that signal almost entirely. The brief was to create a home device that combines UVB, Red, and NIR light at real biological power — three distinct wavelengths, three distinct biological pathways — in a single accessible unit. Not another wellness gadget. A genuine reconnection between the human body and the light it was designed to receive.

Every design decision was grounded in photobiology research synthesized by founder Gerardo "Guti" Gutiérrez — a professional photographer who spent over 20 years studying light before turning that knowledge toward human biology. That research became Rewired by Light, the protocol guide included with every device. The BTS2 integrates a proximity sensor for automatic safety compliance, 14 programmable modes, and a form factor designed for consistent daily home use. A responsible communications framework was developed in partnership with Scientifica Consulting to ensure all claims remain grounded in evidence. The go-to-market strategy was built around leading voices in human performance including Thomas DeLauer, Tim Gray, and Jean Fallacara.

Mitolux launched as a profitable business, active in the United States and Europe, with coverage from Biohacker Magazine, Biohacker Expo, HOS, Beyond Activi, and UltimateWellness. The BTS2 carries FCC, CE, and RoHS certifications.
