Great innovation often happens in times of crisis. It's exactly then that people are forced to change. To step out of their comfort zone. To resist the usual. To take action. It was during the Renaissance that the invention of print sped the dissemination of ideas. It changed the world forever.

I cannot ask for a more exciting time than now to be working in advertising. We live in the Renaissance of our time. Things are changing rapidly. New ways of communication are on the rise. We adapt so quickly that we cannot imagine our lives without it anymore. But, it's not the digital aspect that is changing us. It's only facilitating new forms of a basic human need: to feel connected.

In this connected age, brands need partners that can create sustainable added value. Partners that understand the dynamics of an on-going changing media landscape and different consumer behavior as a consequence. It is the strategists role to identify the core insight of what is moving consumers: how the brand can add meaning to the consumers' life and best connect with them.
