SHOUT for a Safer South Africa is focusing on proactively making South African streets safer by stopping crime before it has a chance to take root in the first place. One of their early Intervention programs involves building funkily designed libraries at primary schools in townships to open up new horizons for kids, inspiring a new generation where reading is cooler than crime. Specifically created for Cinema, patrons are confronted by a polite plea for library donations from a township kid who wants to grow up right, whilst he still has a chance to ask nicely.
