ABOUT

Project Outline:
A new website for the the World Energy Council – an online platform to promote the sustainable supply and use of energy globally. The World Energy Council aims to influence global policy change by targeting world energy leaders and serving as an information resource through information-led toolkits, interactive events and campaigns for change.

Gain more traffic, especially from the USA
Key information to be more targeted, prominent and relevant
Simplify user navigation
Present data in a more accessible way
Archive old data sensibly without becoming a library
Mobile responsive

My role on the project:
Part of initial workshops to decide site structure
Project costing and planning as part of a collaborative team
Sitemap and wireframes
Creative lead on web visuals
Front-end build as part of a team

Results:
Overall traffic has increased since launching the new website - with a 46% increase in America. Significant improvements can also be seen in bounce rate and average session duration.

American users up 46.28%
Average session duration up to 2.5 minutes
Average bounce rate down to 57.29%
