ABOUT
We all get into advertising to party, right? Right. Well, Ogilvy & Mather loves to party so much that they let different departments host their own themed shindigs from time to time. Problem is: we don’t get a lot of budget, or time, to plan them.
So…we didn’t plan ours at all. And we spent all the money on booze. Because we saw how all the other parties had ended: soon and dry.
To keep our colleagues severely underwhelmed, we scattered a range of ridiculous posters around the Ogilvy campus. The result was great: people stayed longer than usual and really seemed to have more fun with the freaking karaoke and an old PS1 than with the expensive entertainment that had sucked all the budget in previous events.
The first rule is: know your target market :)
