Ann Wixley, Creative Director at OMD UK, talks with Creativepool founder, Michael Tomes. Hear Ann's thoughts on the connection between performance art and experiential creativity, creating and producing ideas and their impact.

Ann was a ballet dancer before she started her career in advertising. In early 2000, she was headhunted into the Media Strategy Agency, Norta Bene, part of the WPP group, where she started up a division focused on the creation and implementation of non-traditional integrated ideas.

In the interview she talks about:

By providing a bigger canvas for the ad agencies to work from and combining the different disciplines of creative crafts with orchestrated ideas in a bigger scale, leads to "some great magic.

Advertising agencies know exactly what they do in turns of their craft. OMD UK work on creating ideas that complement the advertising of agencies and their clients."

"The Creative Director vs. The Creative...
There are those who create ideas, and there are the creative directors who are gathering people together that will create the ideas. The ideas often come from the client team, and it is therefore important to work closely with the client team in order to create the best idea. With the traditional media creative ideas, it's the goal to get into the popular culture that will grow the idea bigger by the help of people who share it."
