San Diego Tourism Kids Free Campaign
After exploring a variety of ways to stimulate leisure demand during the historically low shoulder/need period in October, the Kids Free October Promotion was created. Now in its fifth year, more than 100 theme parks, museums, tours, activities, hotels and restaurants participate, offering special deals for kids, during the month of October. The San Diego Tourism Authority worked with its advertising agency, MeringCarson, on a geo-targeted campaign to attract families in key-drive markets to visit San Diego during the promotion.
The new creative campaign, Kid King, celebrates San Diego's kid-centric activities. It's never been a better time to be a kid, especially in San Diego. Enter Kid King and his town crier - two children extending an invitation to all little explorers to enjoy Kids Free San Diego, in October. During the month-long celebration, little ones will be treated like royalty with free admission to attractions, meals on the house and tons of other great perks throughout the city.
