'A second chance'- project together with Serda Çamlı- for VitrA(TR), 2014

The Chandelier- ‘a second chance’ is an upcycle project for VitrA brand from Turkey, which produces sanitary products and represented Turkey at the ‘European Business Awards for the Environment’ and won the 1st prize in 2014. The Chandelier was designed to announce the good news.

After a factory visit to see all the pieces and the waste components, together with sculptor Serda Çamlı, we picked the basin mixer handles to give them a second chance. The oak elements are added to complete the handles and hold the candles.

The oak box in the bottom supports the handles and serves as a storage for extra tealight. And the basin handles function as fancy tealight holders with a handle to move around independently, and they also serve as the sliding covers of the box.
