El regreso de un clásico
Hemos charlado con muchos paisanos desde el inicio de éste proyecto, siempre hacíamos la misma pregunta “ Oye pepe, juan, luis ¿ Tu bebías Gin kiber? La respuesta siempre era algo asi como “Coño! Gin kiber” y sus miradas retrocedían a un tiempo que solamente existe en la mente de los que lo han vivido.

Gin Kiber. The return of a classic.

We chatted with many countrymen since the beginning of this project, we always asked the same question "Hey pepe, juan, luis Did you drink Gin kiber? The answer was always something like "yeah! Gin fiber and its looked back to a time that only exists in the minds of those who have lived it.

En el ejercicio de mi profesión éste es uno de los momento en los que me reafirmo, a pesar de todo, que algo de lo que hago tiene sentido cuando siento como interactúan con nosotros las marcas, como dejan su poso emocional en nuestras vidas.

In the exercise of my profession this is one of the times when I reaffirm, despite everything, that something I do makes sense when I feel how brands interact with us, as they leave their emotional posture in our lives.

Lo primero que hicimos fue comenzar con este proceso de investigación que nosotros definimos como Brand Análisis y Estrategia, siempre volvemos locos a nuestros clientes con infinidad de preguntas, partimos de un caos que intenta ordenarse.

The first thing we did was to start with this research process that we defined as Brand Analisys and Strategy, we always drive our customers crazy with lots of questions, we start from a chaos that tries to order itself.

Hasta que encontramos la botella original y literalmente la fuimos desnudando. Comenzamos con el fondo, esas teselas que aparecen el la botella, por que? Reflejarían algo de la fabrica original? Desde luego tenían que mantenerse actualizando su gráfica.

Until we found the original bottle and literally went naked. We start with the background, those tiles that appear on the bottle, why? Would they reflect something of the original factory? Of course they had to keep updating their graph.

En cuanto a la tipografía teniendo en cuenta que Gin Kiber fue una ginebra que se producía en Mieres, en la segunda mitad del siglo pasado, nos decantamos por actualizar el antiguo tipo egipcio del logotipo por una ITC Garamon y más concretamante el tipo la empresa diseñadora de tipos Stempel en el año 1924, el más extendido donde se utilizaron los diseños originales creados por Claude.

El isotipo, que se refiere a esta parte simbólica o icónica de las marcas, debía de reflejar la actividad industrial en las cuencas mineras y en Asturias.

En general se ha trabajado en una línea muy sobria cromática, jugando con blanco y negro para reflejar la sobriedad de una ginebra con valores humildes.

As for the typography considering that Gin Kiber was a gin that was produced in Mieres, in the second half of the last century, we chose to update the old Egyptian type of logo by an ITC Garamon and more concrete type designer company Of types Stempel in the year 1924, the most extended one where the original designs created by Claude were used.

The isotype, which refers to this symbolic or iconic part of the brands, should reflect the industrial activity in the mining basins and in Asturias.

In general it has worked in a very sober chromatic line, playing with black and white to reflect the sobriety of a gin with humble values.
