A competition brief set by The Folio Society to create a series of new illustrations for Michael Morpurgo's 'War Horse'. The pattern based illustration style I created aimed to be sympathetic to the sensitive subject of the war, whilst having dynamism to represent the world through the eyes of the equine protagonist.
