About me

My name is Melissa, I am 23 years old. I consider myself to be a mature, responsible, polite, friendly and organised individual. I am currently working as a Store Manager in a women's fashion store and feel that I am ready for a new challenge and a completely new career path. I want a career that I can enjoy and that I can be proud of. I am looking to begin a career in a creative industry, I am particularly interested in magazine/ editorial design and branding. I have always been a naturally creative person so I know that a creative career is right for me, I am very enthusiastic about this and I am determined to be successful. I have just completed a course in graphic design at BTEC National Diploma level. I am able to use Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Quark. I am also able to use Microsoft Word and have some knowledge of Excel. I am aware that I still have much to learn about these industries and am very excited about doing so. I am happy to accept any training that may be offered to me as I am very eager to develop my existing skills and learn new ones.
