In Autumn 2017, I took part in the Future Writer's Lab, a 10 week course created by the DMA. The course involved weekly writing exercises, culminating in a final project and exhibition.

The brief for our final project was to 'rebrand 'mental illness' as a normal part of living, talking and growing'. I chose to focus on the landscape of a seemingly mundane residential street, in which the residents are all dealing with different troubles. I chose to separate out each person, despite some of them relating to one another to emphasise the individuality of each person's difficulties.

I was later invited to read my piece at the DMA's Anatomy of Greatness event, alongside creative from iris, Karmarama and Google.
