In Sept 2020, I Am Whole created Digital Detox Day to encourage people all over the work to turn off their devices and avoid social media for a whole day. Our aim was to 'turn off' the Piccadilly Screen on the day - someone which nobody else has done before.
I animated the DDD design to countdown, shut down, reboot and loop, mimicking a retro TV animation. The advert was 10 mins in total, consisting of a 1 min advert looped 10 times. Due to the unique screen and it's location, there were plenty of limitations to what we could do with the animation. Despite that, we created a bold, exciting advert which did exactly what it set out to do.
