ABOUT
This was a group project for the DSP (Digital Studio Practice) module within the DMK (Digital Media Kingston) at Kingston University. We had to do an astronautics simulation where a probe would travelling from Earth to Neptune.
As a group with people with different skills we all did our proposals and came out with a final one: the simulation would focus on arrival to Neptune. My job as a 3D modeler was to model and texture Netune's moons (I did five of them, the most important ones). For this purpose I used Zbrush, Maya and Photoshop.
The whole project was developed to be a simulation-game (VR with Oculus Rift) for students visiting the Astronautics and Space Technology Faculty at Kingston University during the open days. To find out more about this project and my colleagues work on it please visit the astronauticssimulation at blogspot in UK.
