I believe I have several skills and abilities that make me an excellent candidate for your company!
Firstly, I have just completed a degree in Journalism at the University of Salford. This degree has hugely developed my communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Within my last semester, I often had senior roles as a part of my newsdays, including news editor, which helped me to develop these skills even further. This degree also has given me a passion for marketing as this was integrated throughout our degree to drive the public to our pieces. I have experience in SEO and using social media platforms to create momentum for my pieces. As stated, despite having experience in these areas I do not have much experience in marketing specifically, in many of the software and other platforms that will be used. However, I am a quick learner and am excited to take on the new challenge of learning more in this interesting field.
On top of this, I am a part of the scuba diving society committee at the university. My role as the Chairperson has enhanced my organizational skills, my ability to work as and lead a team and how to work alone and delegate tasks. The sport itself has challenges which have developed my problem-solving skills. In the water, you are unable to communicate verbally and so must think of a creative way to communicate by using both taught and personal signals. You must also be level-headed and problem-solving to be a scuba diver as underwater situations can become dangerous and thus require these skills.
In conclusion, as a very hardworking, outgoing, and sociable individual, who enjoys talking to new people I believe that this company is a perfect fit for me.
