This went through quite a few revisions before the final design was settled on. One possible idea was to ape an 18th century dog painting the band had seen hanging in The Winchester pub. I sketched a quick mock up and the band fell in love with the look of the rough drawing.

Did I say I was a fan of pink?

About the colour; Pit Ponies, at a glance, could be taken as a rather blokey band. At their core, however, and certainly in their lyrics, is a vulnerability that I wanted to bring to the forefront. Trashmouth Records is the home to Meatraffle, Taman Shud and notably, for their first album, Fat White Family.
