ABOUT
To mark Blood Cancer Awareness Month 2019, Anthony Nolan created the Silent Thank You Campaign, showcasing the portraits of six inspiring stem cell survivors by world-renowned photographer Rankin. Through emotive storytelling and concise, impactful copy, I produced copy to capture the power - and the limitations - of saying thank you.
How do you thank the person who has saved your life?
In this awareness and fundraising campaign for Anthony Nolan, I developed powerful messaging to pose this challenging question to the public. Launching an integrated campaign across video, social and email, the creative generated significant interest in Anthony Nolan and their cause.
Rankin's portraits brought the visible struggle of gratitude and the raw communication of body language into sharp relief. To highlight the inadequacy of words in difficult situations, I took a light-touch approach to the campaign copy across an array of video, social, web and email assets. This stripped-back approach was key to conveying the 'silent' power of the imagery and video.
The campaign garnered significant press attention, buzz on social media and financial support for Anthony Nolan. With its authentic message, it helped to increase brand awareness of Anthony Nolan and creatively convey the values and work of the charity.
