Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in response to your vacancy for Assistant Graphic Designer.

I have recently completed a Bachelor of Visual Communication at Birmingham City University (2.1) and would like to make the best use of the skills developed during my university study. The curriculum included classes in Graphic Communication, Art Direction, Typography, Photography and Branding.

I have done a placement at Albion London after winning an award from Dave McKean for 'Integrated Design'. I was given the role of a Creative designer and worked on briefs for Giffgaff, Absolute Radio and OVO Energy. These briefs required me to produce designs for hand-held devices, online banners and overall brand design such as posters, logo creation etc.Over the past eight years, I have become highly proficient in Adobe CS Suite on both Mac OSX and Windows. I am able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and ensure the work is produced at the highest level. In particular, I have extensive experience designing magazine spreads, advertisements, brochures, flyers, hand-held applications, brand identities, photo touching up and photo manipulation.

I enjoy working in a creative team and have the ability to communicate with managers and colleagues alike. As such, I believe I can make a significant contribution to your team.
