ABOUT

"Wayang Golek" is a traditional marionette play from Sunda, Indonesia. We find ourselves in submission to what society asks of us in the name of conformity and obedience but to the expense of the death of our individuality and authenticity.

Anything beyond blending in is construed as being rebellious, weird and it robs us of our sense of belonging. Despite our individuality, we all deserve to belong as we are social beings.

Sometimes it feels hard to belong in a place when you feel like your just another marionette being led on society's strings.

Underneath the rigidity of it all, we are just trying to be human amongst the puppets.
