Row is a psychological thriller set against the backdrop of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is my debut feature film as director, co-writer and editor. The film won Best UK Feature at Raindance 2025, where it also received multiple nominations, including Best UK Director. Following a limited UK theatrical release, Row is now available on general release.

I co-wrote the screenplay with producer and actor Nick Skaugen. Bringing Row to life required me to develop unique techniques both on set and throughout the edit and post-production.
Filming at the northernmost tip of Scotland presented the additional challenge of working in erratic and often severe weather conditions. As director, I had to find ways to capture powerful performances while filming on open water, requiring careful scene staging and close collaboration with the cast.

Row was produced as a low-budget independent feature, so I also took on much of the post-production work myself. Using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop on my Mac, I developed a range of practical and digital effects to create the illusion of an unforgiving ocean.
